The k2kUSA Advisory Council is a body of leaders from a broad range of backgrounds working to ensure a fair chance for all kids. The k2kUSA Council issues reports, provides input to the campaign and acts as a voice on behalf of k2kUSA advocacy efforts.

Mark Shriver is Managing Director of U.S. Programs for Save the Children. He leads efforts to improve the early childhood development, literacy, physical activity and nutrition of children living in impoverished rural communities across the United States. Previously, he served as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates and was Maryland's first-ever Chair of the Joint Committee on Children, Youth and Families.

Emily is 7 years old and from Kentucky. She is staunch advocate for
literacy
and early childhood education. Emily was a winner of the 2010
Save the
Children Valentine's Day art contest. She wants to be a
teacher when she
grows up, but right now she likes to play tennis and
play with her brother
Garrett. He favorite books are the Box Car
Children series.

Jennifer Garner is a Golden Globe, Screen Actor’s Guild and People’s Choice Award-winning actress for her performance in ALIAS. Garner starred recently in VALENTINE'S DAY, The INVENTION OF LYING, GHOSTS OF GIRLFRIENDS PAST, and JUNO. Garner was born in Houston, Texas, raised in Charleston, West Virginia, and currently resides in Los Angeles with her family. She is an Artist Ambassador for Save the Children’s U.S. Programs.

Cokie Roberts is a political commentator for ABC News, providing analysis for all network news programming. From 1996-2002, she co-anchored the weekly ABC interview program This Week. Roberts also serves as Senior News Analyst for National Public Radio. In more than forty years in broadcasting, she has won countless awards, including three Emmys.
12-year-old Alex Wolff marked his first acting gig as the irresistibly charming and witty "bad boy" drummer in Nickelodeon's The Naked Brothers Band. Alex is now the drummer for Nat and Alex Wolff. Alex also starred in the hit black and white music video "The Take Over, The Break's Over" from the famed rock band, Fall Out Boy. Last fall he had a guest appearance on the TV show "Monk."
Singer/composer/keyboardist Nat Wolff, 15, is the lead singer/songwriter of Nat and Alex Wolff. Nat starred in Nickelodeon's The Naked Brothers Band. He wrote 13 of the 15 original songs that are featured on the debut album, THE NAKED BROTHERS BAND, and 11 of the 14 songs on the second album, I DON'T WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL. The young performer's recent off-Broadway credits include Getting into Heaven and The Heartbeat of Bagdad.

Randy Jackson is a twenty-year music industry veteran and Grammy Award winning producer. It is being a judge on AMERICAN IDOL, however, that propelled Jackson into public consciousness. Randy has expanded into TV production with MTV's hit series RANDY JACKSON PRESENTS: AMERICA'S BEST DANCE CREW. Randy resides with his wife and children in Los Angeles.

Patrick Schwarzenegger is a California high school student and cofounder of Project 360, a hip modern apparel company that donates a portion of its proceeds to worthy charities that focus on everything from the environment to violence against women. He is the son of California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.

Julianne Moore can currently be seen starring opposite Colin Firth in A SINGLE MAN, directed by Tom Ford. Her upcoming projects include CHLOE with Liam Neeson and THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT with Annette Bening. Her additional film credits include Oscar-nominated turns in FAR FROM HEAVEN, THE HOURS, BOOGIE NIGHTS and THE END OF THE AFFAIR. Moore resides in New York City and is an Artist Ambassador for Save the Children's programs in the US.

Hilary B. Rosen is the Managing Partner of Brunswick Group in Washington, D.C. Rosen is also an Editor-at-Large for The Huffington Post and an on-air CNN Political Contributor. Rosen is the former Chairman and chief executive officer of the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), the trade group representing the U.S. sound recording industry.

Brian Graden served as President of Entertainment, MTV Networks Music Channels (MTV, VH1, MTV2 and CMT) and President of Logo until December 2009, where, among many achievements, he was a guiding force behind MTV’s Emmy Award-winning “Fight For Your Rights” campaigns. Mr. Graden holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Charles F. MacCormack is currently President of Save the Children, the world’s leading ndependent nonprofit organization serving children in need. He also serves as Board Chair of InterAction, the national association of over 160 international humanitarian and development organizations. Prior to his current position at Save the Children, Dr. MacCormack was President of World Learning.

Randi Weingarten is president of the more than 1.4-million-member American Federation of Teachers, having been elected in 2008. She has been involved in improving and reforming public schools for over two decades. As a teacher of history at Clara Barton High School in Brooklyn, New York, Weingarten helped her students win several state and national debating awards.

Dr. Irwin Redlener is president and co-founder of the Children’s Health Fund, a philanthropic initiative created to develop health care programs for children in some of the nation’s most medically underserved communities. He is also the director of the National Center for Disaster Preparedness and a member of the National Commission on Children and Disasters.
